Our Vision

To make the Lands and Surveys Department the hub of all surveying, mapping and geospatial services; to be the national surveying agency of Government; coordinating all surveying services within the Ministry of Housing, Lands and Rural Development, thus strengthening the base of surveying expertise in Government.


Our Mission

To provide excellent surveying services to our customers in a timely manner; to provide up-to-date and reliable mapping and geospatial information services appropriate to the needs of all our clients.

Digital Map Layers

Digital Map products now available for your planning and analysis needs

Digital vector layers of Barbados are now available in a variery of formats suited for GIS and mapping. With the layers set at affordable prices, agencies can now capitalize on this initiative.

Mr. David McCollin, the new Chief Surveyor (Acting), assigned to the Lands and Surveys Department

From June 2017, the Department received as its new Chief Surveyor (Acting), Mr. David McCollin, who is the former Manager Information Systems at the Land Registry. Mr. McCollin brings with him a combined wealth of experience in Surveying, GIS and Management. The Ministry of Housing, Lands and Rural Development, and the Lands and Surveys Department welcome him to this challenging and pivotal position.

DIRECTIONS

1: From the Warrens Roundabout, use the south exit on to Lodge Hill Road, and assume the right lane. Take the next right turn (between Dome Mall complex and Pricemart), and continue to the T-junction. Turn left on to the one-way road, and enter the right lane and proceed right around the bend. Take the next right turn to arrive at the Warrens Office Complex.

OR 2: From the Simpson Motors Roundabout, take the south exit (between Sol Gas Station and Cheffette Restaurants), and continue to the the next roundabout. Take the left exit on to the one-way road, and assume the right lane. Take the next right turn to arrive at the Warrens Office Complex.
